China asks US for practical measures to improve military relations

According to spokesman Wu Qian, Washington “cannot expect China to manage the crisis and improve communications while at the same time engaging in activities that undermine its security interests.”

The spokesman made these statements in response to the US Department of Defense’s annual report, which he described as full of falsehoods about the Asian giant.

“The difficulties and obstacles in the military relationship between the two countries are entirely caused by the US side, and the context, cause and course that led to the current situation are very clear.” “The American side has “acting stupidly and feigning innocence,” Wu emphasized.

According to the spokesman, over the past two decades, the US has “stubbornly clung to its misconceptions” and published such reports “full of lies and platitudes.”

“We call on the US side to stop fabricating false narratives, correct the misperception of China, and push for the healthy and steady development of military relations between the two countries with concrete actions and sincerity,” he noted.

The US Defense Department has released an annual report calling China and its People’s Liberation Army the “biggest challenge” and overstating the threat posed by the Asian giant.

Due to the economic war against the Asian giant, disagreements over the conflict in Ukraine and the Middle East, and North American interference in domestic affairs such as the Taiwan issue, bilateral relations are at the worst moment in their history.
