China Continues to Encourage Intrusion into Taiwan’s Air Zone Oeste Magazine

China’s planes and warships continue to conduct military activities around Taiwan Department of Defense this Saturday the 20th

According to the agency, 17 aircraft and five ships were spotted around the island. Four fighter jets crossed the Taiwan Strait median line, which in normal times acts as an unofficial barrier between the two sides.

Yesterday, US Ambassador to the Asian country Nicholas Burns said China must convince the rest of the world that it is not an “agent of instability” and will act peacefully across the Taiwan Strait.

China said on August 10 that it had “done tasks” around Taiwan in a sign that it could end war drills. Still, the country said it would continue to conduct “regular patrols.”

at the beginning of the week, the Chinese promoted the incursion of 22 aircraft into areas around the island. The invasions coincided with the arrival of a delegation of US congressmen who met with officials from the Taiwanese government. The congressmen’s trip came 12 days after the visit of Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.
