China has “not much credibility” with Ukraine, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said on Friday, expressing skepticism about Beijing’s “proposals” to end the war.

“First of all, on the proposals and points put forward by China, China does not have much credibility because it was unable to condemn the illegal invasion of Ukraine. And it also signed an agreement (…) on unlimited partnership with Russia a few days before the invasion,” he told journalists in Tallinn.

“Ukraine will win”

Ukraine will “undoubtedly win” its war against Russia, despite “a dark year of despair” since the country was invaded by the army from Moscow, he also said.

“Freedom is not free. We must fight for it every day. Today, it is the Ukrainian people who are bravely fighting for their freedom. And despite a dark year of despair and destruction, their determination and courage will undoubtedly prevail.
