The statement was made a day after Zhai Jun attended the peace summit in Cairo on Saturday (21), which discussed the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

At the press conference, Zhai Jun emphasized that relevant actors in the international community must maintain calm and moderation, maintain objectivity and impartiality, promote the deescalation of the conflict, open channels for humanitarian assistance as soon as possible, and avoid further impact on regional and international security.

“China believes that violence has never been the way to solve problems and that using force to combat violence will only lead to a vicious circle of endless revenge against each other and create even more obstacles to a political solution,” Zhai Jun said.
