China’s information technology and software services industry posted double-digit sales and profit growth in the first seven months of the year, according to official data.
The sector’s profits reached 737.4 billion yuan (about $102.72 billion) during the period, up 13.4 percent from the same period last year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said.
The sector’s total revenue rose 13.6 percent year-on-year to 6.46 trillion yuan.
In particular, revenue from cloud computing and big data services rose 16.2 percent year-on-year to 640.9 billion yuan.
Meanwhile, information and technology services revenue of e-commerce platforms rose 7.7 percent year-on-year to 570.7 billion yuan in the same period.
