Tony Rock, Chris Rock’s brother, took the stage on Friday to say his two cents at the Oscars confrontation between his brother and Will Smith.

Rock said that when Smith tried to hit him on stage, he may not have kept his hands on him the way his brother did, according to footage obtained from the Shade Room.

“If you think you’re going to get up on that stage — that ain’t the damn Oscars — and if you go up here, you don’t get nominated for shit, you get nominated for those damn hands,” Rock said during his set , which is part of the Raleigh, North Carolina, was a stop on the No Remorse Comedy Tour.

He went on to say that he and Smith would “burst out” every time they saw each other.

The 47-year-old comedian gave his opinion to a cheering crowd as he walked the stage.

“You’re gonna hit my fucking brother because your bitch gave you a sideways look?” Said Rock, referring to Jada Pinkett Smith, who Chris Rock made a joke about just before Smith came on stage and hit him.

Rock has been standing up for his brother for the past week since an infamous altercation broke out at the Oscars on Sunday night. On Tuesday, he responded to fans on Twitter, saying he did not condone the statement Smith had made to apologize for the incident.
