Chrissie Swan breaks down in tears as she reveals how walking 10km a day has changed her life
Chrissie Swan got incredibly emotional in a recent interview when she opened up about how daily walks have changed her life.
The 49-year-old TV and radio personality has reportedly lost 90kg in the last three years, but the reason she loves to walk isn’t for weight loss.
On The Imperfects podcast, a tearful Chrissy said that walking has changed her life because it allows her to relieve stress and solve problems in her head while contemplating nature and getting some fresh air.
Four years ago she decided to make a lifestyle change and more body movement was one of them.
“I was 45 and I left, I think I’m halfway to dying,” she said.

“Am I happy that this is going on? Am I happy with who I am with other people, am I happy with who I am to myself? What do I want to change?
“And then I started running and I get emotional when I think about it because walking has absolutely changed my life.”
The radio host said whenever something is bothering her, she goes outside and uses the time to clear her head.

“I walk every day if anything worries me,” she said.
“I’m in such a mood and when something feels wrong I say, ‘I’ll go for it’ and sometimes it’s an hour and sometimes it’s 10km every day for a month, but I always get the answer.”
Chrissie has drastically changed her physique since the start of the Covid lockdowns and cites a new diet, daily walks and sobriety as the secrets to her weight loss.
After reportedly losing 90kg since 2020, she briefly addressed her weight loss in an interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly last year.
She said the “huge” lifestyle changes she’s made over the past 12 months have improved her life in many ways.
“I’m not going to talk about the size of my ass,” she said.
“I’m not going to tell you what I eat in a day. Because I’ve read these stories and they make me feel bad.”
However, she did confirm that Melbourne’s lengthy Covid lockdowns were the catalyst for her health and fitness rush.

“We couldn’t go out to dinner, we couldn’t go to friends’ houses, they couldn’t come to ours, we couldn’t go three miles,” she said.
“All we could do was run, and I did that.”
In another interview with the Herald Sun, Chrissie said she felt great and had never been happier as she approached 50.
“I’ve never been happier or more centered. It’s really great and I don’t think you can feel like that until you’re past the years. I wouldn’t be 20 for pounds,” she said.
