Christina Applegate is – and always will be – one of my favorite actresses. From her iconic role in Married…with Children to her recent award-winning role as Jen Harding in Dead to Me, Christina always knows how to deliver a stunning performance.

While Christina has stood out in every season of the hit Netflix series, this third season has been even more special.

About halfway through filming, Christina was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Christina was determined to finish filming Dead to Me on her own terms, and with the help of creator Liz Feldman and her co-star Linda Cardellini, she did. In turn, she gave one of her best performances as Jen and everyone took notice.

For the final season of Dead to Me, Christina received 2023 Critics Choice and Screen Actors Guild nominations for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her work.

“If you go to that particular event, it’s all your people — you don’t have anyone there except the actors,” Christina said. “And despite the actors’ reputations, they’re all really lovable.”

While all of the SAG Awards she’s attended have been special, Christina revealed that the 2023 ceremony will likely be her last awards show as an actress following her MS diagnosis.

That’s all there is to say that Christina arrived in style at the 2023 SAG Awards red carpet — which marks her first time walking a formal red carpet since her multiple sclerosis diagnosis.

Just like at the 2023 Critics Choice Awards, she attended alongside her daughter Sadie, who also walked the carpet.

I’m obsessed with this velvet look.

And on the bottom of Christina’s walking stick it appears to have the message “FU MS” written on it.

Well, while Christina has said that this could likely be her last awards show as an actress, Dead to Me season 3 will be eligible for the 2023 Emmy Awards, so Christina could attend another awards show if she’s nominated again.

Personally, I hope Christina gets a surprise win for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series tonight. I just think it would be the perfect way to celebrate her extraordinary work on Dead to Me across all three (perfect) seasons.
