Josh Hall loves his wife Christina Hall very much.
On Wednesday, the 41-year-old realtor uploaded a supportive Instagram message about Christina, 38 – the HGTV star, who changed her last name from Haack to Hall after confirming their surprise marriage earlier this month.
In his post, Josh shared two photos of him and his wife hugging in front of a scenic oceanfront pool. In one picture, the couple smiled at the camera, while another showed Josh kissing Christina on the cheek.
“This woman I may call mine is just amazing,” Josh wrote in his caption.
He further praised her confidence, saying: “Nobody or nothing will stop her from achieving happiness/success. She doesn’t need anyone’s approval and certainly doesn’t let anyone’s disapproval affect her life. “
His message ended by pointing out the misconceptions about social media.
“Reminder: Social media is not reality,” added Josh. “Some of the best moments are never caught on camera and never posted on any social media platforms. They remain private and are valued together with those involved.”

Josh’s comments come as no surprise as he and Christina have chosen to keep much of their romance private.
On April 5, PEOPLE confirmed the couple had secretly married, with sources telling TMZ they had told her “I dos” in California “sometime in the last 6 months.” Christina also changed her last name on her real estate license.
This is Christina’s third marriage. She was formerly married to her Flip or Flop co-star Tarek El Moussa and Celebrity IOU: Joyride host Ant Anstead. She and El Moussa, 40, share a daughter Taylor, 11, and son Brayden, 6, with El Moussa while she and Anstead, 42, share a son Hudson, 2.

Christina and Josh began dating last spring, PEOPLE exclusively revealed their relationship in July 2021 when the duo celebrated their 38th birthday with a getaway to Mexico.
“The synchronicities hit us so hard and so fast it was impossible to ignore,” Christina later wrote on Instagram. “I immediately felt crazy about him and wanted to keep him to myself and get to know us before the tornado (media attention) hit. We had a solid couple of months just getting to know each other and I loved every second of it.”
She announced her engagement via Instagram.

This isn’t the first time the newlyweds have supported each other on social media, either.
Just on April 1, the Christina in the Country star posted a loving photo of the couple kissing on a wooden staircase, with the caption, “I prayed for a man who was all man but still treated me like his queen. Never give up. ❤️ ♾ 👑”
Fans wondered if Christina might have been shadowing one of her ex-boyfriends – something she addresses head on in a statement on her Instagram story.
“My posts never cast shadows on anyone,” she said in the post. “I don’t even believe in it [that]. I live in the present, not in the past. I’m concentrating on Josh and the kids and the work… nothing and nobody else. People need to stop comparing and making up scenarios. Josh treats me like a queen and that’s important to me.”

Christina is hard at work on her new HGTV spin-off, Christina in the Country, which will follow her life in the Tennessee farmhouse she bought last year and showcase the real estate professional’s new business adventures.
“I am so excited and grateful that Christina has been officially picked up in the Country,” Christina said in a statement on April 7. “I love that I get the best of both worlds – the coast and the country. It’s an incredible opportunity to work in Tennessee, our second home.”
With that new venture on the horizon, her Flip or Flop series, which launched her and El Moussa’s careers, ended in March after 10 years.
“I will forever be grateful to have had a series for a decade. It’s a huge accomplishment and everyone who worked on the show should be very proud,” Christina told PEOPLE, adding to the series, “made it through the ups and downs.”
“Believe me, it wasn’t always easy,” she said.
