Every family has their own traditions for the holidays, but it's all about the serenity of watching everyone together a nice Christmas film there is no discussion. To be on the safe side, the popular aggregator Rotten Tomatoes has put together the ranking of the best Christmas films of all time, based on the percentage of positive reviews. And as is often the case in such cases, a title comes first that few would have expected.
Forget the films mentioned so far that don't even appear in the top ten: The undisputed Christmas King with 100% positive reviews is it Let's meet in Saint Louis by Vincente Minnelli. Published almost 80 years agohas as protagonist Judy Garland and is considered one of MGM's best and most expensive musical films. What's surprising is that Christmas is only set for about half an hour! Enough, however, to present us with a song that has remained in the collective imagination: Treat yourself to a Merry Christmas.
The ranking of the best Christmas films then continues with a series of surprises: In second place we find an even older film Write to me by post by Ernst Lubitsch. Thirdly, however, let us return to the present The leftoverswhich will be released in cinemas in 2024.
