Chrysler presented the concept of its first 100 percent electric vehicle in 2025, the Airflow crossover, at CES in Las Vegas last year. As part of the 2023 edition of this major technology fair, the company unveiled its vision of the passenger compartments of the future.
The “Chrysler Synthesis” takes us even further into the future than the Airflow in question, whose interior layout was very similar to that of a production model. The lack of a steering wheel and pedals is misleading as it is aimed more towards level 3 (on a scale of 5) autonomous driving.
This cockpit brings together Stellantis’ STLA Smart Cockpit, STLA Brain and STLA AutoDrive technology platforms, the first to debut in North America through the Chrysler brand. It embodies the theme of harmony in movement and is designed to meet the specific needs of occupants for maximum comfort and enjoyment while driving.

More specifically, the dashboard contains a digital interface that extends 37.2 inches behind glass panels. When the user approaches the vehicle, a greeting sequence starts, which the virtual assistant recognizes based on the biometrics.
This can then create an intelligent route based on streets, traffic, parking lots and of course charging stations. Based on the agenda, suggestions are even made in advance.
Various mood modes (Chill/Zen/Fun) help to stimulate the on-road driving experience when the vehicle is stationary or driving autonomously. Whether for meditating, playing or improvising as a music DJ, everything is possible. The driver who is not busy driving can also attend to other tasks, such as video conferencing.

Since the systems are equipped with artificial intelligence, the vehicle and its virtual assistant can learn and adapt to users’ preferences over time, in addition to updating automatically.
For the rest, the Chrysler Synthesis cabin shows us a clean and airy environment. Enveloping seats greet occupants with an emphasis on relaxation. Of course, the focus is on environmentally friendly and sustainable materials, such as the vegan upholstery on the seats or the recycled plastic on the dashboard. No chrome is used.
All this is very nice, but stay away. Coming back to airflow, it’s likely Chrysler will tell us more about its electric crossover sometime in 2023, so keep following The Car Guide!
