Okay guys stop aggin. The sixth season of Peaky Blinders returns to Birming—er, the United States. The beloved street gang series, starring Cillian Murphy as Tom Shelby in a brummie-accented flat cap, hits Netflix for its final season this June. Of course, the series has already premiered in the UK on BBC One. But anyone without a VPN or a BBC America subscription will be able to return to the Midlands on June 10.

The sixth season premiere set new records on BBC One with over 3.8 million viewers overnight on deadline. The premiere marked the first new episode since the 2019 season five finale, which oddly enough held the record before the premiere broke it. The BBC numbers only seem big because Netflix didn’t have the opportunity to declare Peaky Blinders the most watched series in the history of the platform without releasing any numbers.

While it’s technically the final season, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has confirmed to Deadline that a film is in the works. Would anyone be surprised if Peaky Blinders went down the Abbey in the City Center route and just became a blockbuster series? The last we heard is that Knight plans to debut in 2023.

Knight had one of the most exciting careers in television and film. He wrote the diet play Burnt by Bradley Cooper and Gordon Ramsay and the thriller Eastern Promises by David Cronenberg. Knight also directed Matthew McConaughey’s infamous bombshell Serenity and Tom Hardy’s fixed-frame thriller Locke. To be clear, Knight didn’t have to do any of this because he also created Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.

Joining Murphy for one bomb in the bonse were Tom Hardy as Alfie Solomons and King’s Gambit herself Anya Taylor-Joy as Jean Grey. Other returning favorites include Paul Anderson, Finn Cole, Natasha O’Keeffe and Sophie Rundle.

All six episodes of the sixth season will be released on Netflix on June 10, 2022.
