Cindy Morgan, the actress who made her big screen breakthrough opposite Chevy Chase and Bill Murray in “Caddyshack,” has died at the age of 69.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office confirmed her death to TMZ on Saturday, noting that she died in the area.
Morgan was best known for her stunning performance in Caddyshack as bombshell Lacey Underall.
In 2012, she spoke about Caddyshack and her audition for the role: “Caddyshack was my first film and I have to say the final product was so completely different, originally it was about the caddies.”
“So initially I had nothing to lose in the audition. It was fun. I just focused on making the person sweat. Look them in the eye, do what many women can do…”

She also had a starring role in the science fiction classic Tron (1982) as Lora, a computer programmer in the “real” world, and Yori, her alter ego in the film's computer-generated world.
Morgan also appeared in two different roles on the nighttime soap “Falcon Crest” for a total of three seasons.
The actress has also appeared on CHiPs, The Larry Sanders Show, Amazing Stories, The Love Boat, The Fall Guy, Vegas and Matlock, among others.
Although Caddyshack was her breakout role, it wasn't her first. According to IMDb, she had a small role in 1980's American Gigolo with Richard Gere and Lauren Hutton
Cindy was born in Chicago and, after 12 years of Catholic schools, attended Northern Illinois University, where she performed as a DJ on the campus radio station.
After college, she worked for a local television station in Rockford, Illinois, where she was the weather girl, and as a DJ at Chicago's WDSM.
In 1978 she moved to Los Angeles to try her hand at acting.
Morgan booked the role of Irish Spring Girl in commercials while taking acting classes.

In later years, Morgan appeared in several short films and worked as a voice actor for video games.
Her last film role was in Empty Sky in 2011 and her last television appearance was in an episode of Under Suspicion in 1994.
Outside of acting, Morgan was passionate about her philanthropic work with U.S. military veterans from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. She worked to alleviate the financial hardship of these veterinarians.
She also worked to raise funds for the Illinois Family Relief Fund, which helps the families of National Guard members, reservists and active duty.
