Cinzia’s story in “Amore Criminale”

A long hidden relationship, a suffocating relationship and a brutal murder. In the third episode of “Amore Criminale”, which will air on Rai 3 during prime time on Thursday 3rd November, Emma D’Aquino tells the story of Cinzia, who at the age of 34 was killed by her former partner.
It is 2006 when the woman looking for a job enters a household goods store: the owner hires her as a saleswoman and their relationship soon turns into a love affair. At this moment in her life, Cinzia is living with her elderly parents and decides not to talk about the new relationship. Ditto for the man who has been married for twenty years and is the father of two teenage children. Their relationship lives in secret, away from gossip and prying eyes. Cinzia isolates herself from everyone in a few years and her partner at the time has total control over her. Tired of living the relationship in the shadows, Cinzia wants to be able to live her love without having to hide and asks the man to make a choice: either her or her family. The situation does not develop any further and after seven years Cinzia gains an important awareness: the ex-partner will never leave her family and maybe she is not ready to continue this secret relationship either. She decides to leave him. The ex then starts checking his phone, pc, even social media closely until he discovers that Cinzia is chatting with another man. From that moment on, he tries by all means to restore the relationship. On the morning of August 24, 2019, he makes one last attempt: he sends her a message proposing to go to the beach. The woman accepts the offer for a day together and goes to the meeting place, the garage next to the hardware store. Here the man is waiting for her and kills her with five hits of a rolling pin. He is charged and sentenced to life imprisonment. His judgment is final today.
As always, the story was reconstructed with a docu-fiction.
