The Interuniversity Research Center on International Relations of Canada and Quebec (CIRRICQ) has received the pledge of financial support for the next 5 years from the Department of International Relations and the Francophonie, in particular to encourage the development of research on international politics and the activities of the government of Quebec in this area.

CIRRICQ was founded in 2012 and has been led by Stéphane Paquin, Full Professor at ENAP, since 2021. CIRRICQ is an umbrella organization that brings together the Group for Studies and Research on International Affairs and Quebec (GÉRIQ), the Observatory on Arctic Policy and Security (OPSA) and the Canadian Observatory on Humanitarian Crises and Action (OCCAH). It brings together several members of the teaching and research institutions of various Quebec universities, including the National School of Public Administration (ENAP), the University of Sherbrooke and the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM).

CIRRICQ’s research and teaching focuses on international issues affecting the government of Quebec, particularly in their economic, legal, environmental, and political dimensions.
