While it was supposed to hold the month of October on Xbox Game Pass, Cities: Skylines II was ultimately delayed for very long months, much to the misfortune of management enthusiasts on consoles.
Cities: Skyline II is being pushed back to consoles
Colossal Order actually announced in a press release that the release of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series [aux] Player”. However, Cities: Skyline II will be available on Steam and in the Microsoft Store and thus in PC Game Pass on the originally planned date.
This additional time allows us to focus on balancing quality and performance across all platforms.
As for availability on consoles, we’ll have to settle for a vague “Spring 2024” for now, which will push the game back by at least six months on those machines.
Anyone who has pre-ordered the title digitally on Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5 will receive their money back without having to do anything. If you wish, you can pre-order it again later.
When Cities: Skylines II releases on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in spring 2024, it will of course include Xbox Game Pass.
