Orkin reports that with the arrival of fall and cold weather in the United States, approximately 21 million households are infested with mice and other types of rashes, a phenomenon that is also spreading to Canada.
Typically, rodents invade heated homes and buildings in search of food, water and shelter from the cold to survive the winter.
The company recommends residents properly store their food or trash and locate pest entry points to prevent future infestations.
Rodents can cause significant damage to homes and can also transmit diseases.
