This Sunday (12th), Claudia Leitte gave an interview to “Fantástico” to talk about her 20year career and took the opportunity to publish her latest clip: it’s about “Dengo Meu”, a song in which she shares the vocals with Lucy Alves and Juliette Freire.
Chatting with Maju Coutinho, The singer opened up about discovering the music and how she invited the two Northeast artists to record the song with her. “The music was there and I caught a glimpse. I’ve seen two women from the Northeast with me. I sent both of them a message,” explained the artist, who showed the clip firsthand on the show.
“And for the talent, for the disposition, for the passion of the two, brought the hot earth of the Northeast into my music. It’s beautiful ‘Dengo Meu’,” she added, expressing pride in the new song, which is now available on streaming platforms.
October is the milestone
Claudia also revealed the reason why she considers the month of October to be the starting point of her career.. “That’s when I realized that that’s where I make my living. That was my job. I had other bands before, but I never had that much responsibility until that moment. Babado Novo. It was my band. I started to feel that I was giving up something. That it would be my livelihood”.
When asked how many more years of career she would like to have, Claudia: “Boy. Look, as long as I’m healthy, I want to sing. I know he writes everything and, my God, may I have a lot of energy up there to grow really old.”
