On Saturday’s episode of “Pantanal” (TV Globo), Cláudio Marzo, the actor who died in 2015 and who brought Velho do Rio to life in the first version of the soap opera, was honored and “appeared” in the soap opera in a ghostly retinue and encounter with the ancient from Rio (Osmar Prado).
The daughter he had with Betty Faria, Alexandra Marzo, responded to her father’s appearance through digital imaging. “Nice thing,” she said in a video posted to her Instagram profile yesterday.
The actress, author and singer shared with her more than 10,000 followers how she felt when she saw the scene in the TV series Globo and congratulated the features team.
“My heart almost exploded yesterday from the emotion! Thanks to the whole Pantanal team, congratulations!” she wrote in the publication’s caption, tagging the profiles of actors such as Marcos Palmeira and Dira Paes, who live respectively on Zé Leôncio and Filó.
“Alexandra, I remembered you back then and wished you’d see the episode. I got goosebumps, this tribute to the great and wonderful Claudio Marzo was touching and well deserved. It was beautiful,” one follower wrote in the comments.
“Darling, it was more than exciting,” Alexandra answered.
How did he appear?
In the novel’s scenes, only the shadows of passersby on their horses could be seen until the Velho do Rio arrived.
Cláudio Marzo was featured as Lázaro from the 2007 soap opera “Desejo Proibido”.
