Clayton Conservani, a Globo reporter and anchor for 27 years, has been fired from the network after nearly three decades. In conversation with the Q5He stated that he had been invited to an interview this Thursday (31).
“We are changing the way we work. I was laid off today, but I will be returning to production in March. Everything is going very well, but I am free to evaluate suggestions. “I am very strong and healthy to continue my expeditions around the planet,” he said to the report.
There are already negotiations between Conservani and the company Play9, owned by Felipe Neto and João Pedro Paes Leme, a former Globo manager.
Clayton Conservani became known at the station for his radical reporting, for example when he climbed Mount Everest in 2005, and produced reports for Esporte Espetacular and the program Fantástico. Meanwhile, in 2007, he and a team of six climbed the coldest mountain in the world, in Alaska.
That same year, he covered the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro and filmed the series “Journey in Time” for Bomdia, Brazil, showcasing technological developments in sports.
“During my 27 years with the Globo Group, I have visited every continent. I’ve crossed deserts in ultramarathons, dived in caves, climbed some of the highest mountains in the world, survived an earthquake in Nepal, and taken a lot of risks to do what I wanted. “Love,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “It’s a new phase where I can say yes to new opportunities, make dreams come true and have the freedom to choose.”
