When are the presidential elections in Venezuela?
Elvis Amoroso reported that Sunday, July 28, has been chosen as the date for Venezuela's presidential election. Currently there is only Nicolás Maduro as a candidate; since María Corina Machado, who would be her main opponent, is sanctioned by the Supreme Court. This date is significant for Chavistas because it is the same date as the name day of the late Hugo Chávez.

What is the CNE's election plan for 2024?
After the official statement at a press conference, the CNE announced the following on its X account: “Submission of applications begins on March 21st and ends on the 25th; The election of the members of the subordinate electoral organizations will take place on March 20th and the election campaign will begin on July 4th and end on the 25th.” He also published the following dates: “The call for this process will be made on March 5th; the special day for the national and international electoral register is from March 18th to April 16th and the provisional cut of the RE used will be April 16th.” This way the data would look like this:
- Call for Proceedings – Tuesday March 5th
- Special Voter Registration Day – Monday, March 18 through Tuesday, April 16
- Electoral Registration Court – Tuesday, April 16th
