Removal of the statement
Lawyers for Fedez's companies emphasized that the removal of Codacons' press release came after they themselves instructed the association to remove it. In the press release, Codacons said it had filed a complaint with the Guardia di Finanza regarding the rapper's corporate assets. Fedez's lawyers added that they had received a letter of apology signed by the association and on its behalf by its president Carlo Rienzi. It states that it was not Codacons' intention to accuse Fedez of tax evasion or other illegal behavior.

The Letter from Codacons
Codacons then published the full text of the letter to Fedez's lawyers. “Considering that on our part, it is repeated, there was no accusatory intent – writes Codacons in the letter – if Mr. Lucia had this impression, we apologize and will definitely remove this statement from the website. Furthermore, upon receipt of the opinion we are seeking today from the Agcm and the Revenue Agency, for greater transparency and clarity of our social purposes, we will consider publishing the complaint in full. Therefore, we apologize for the misunderstanding and the tone used.” Then we read again: “Finally, the rapper seems to understand that it was a dutiful act for the Codacons to be exposed to the Fiamme Gialle. In light of his “straw tail,” our letter also informed Fedez that we are not in the habit of offending anyone, but we will dig deeper to find out how he is making use of all these ventures.”
