Cody Rhodes comments on WrestleMania loss and will discuss future on 4/10 RAW

Following his loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 and subsequent attack by Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes has taken to social media to talk about the past week and a half and provide an update on his future.

In a lengthy Instagram post on Saturday, Rhodes admitted WrestleMania 39 wasn’t the result he wanted and knows many fans were just as disappointed as he was. Rhodes went on to say that he nonetheless enjoyed the ride and preparation for the event.

He went on to thank his wife Brandi, WWE, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and many behind-the-scenes WWE leaders including the McMahon family, as well as the fans for being in the moment.

Regarding next steps, Rhodes said he will talk about what his future holds on the next episode of Monday Night RAW, scheduled for April 10, 2023. There, Rhodes said, he will talk about his future and “what could be next” for the superstar.

A long week. I know last Sunday wasn’t the result I was hoping for and I know a lot of fans were disappointed too. I don’t apologize I lost. I’d be remiss if I didn’t tell you how much I enjoyed the ride…through Sunday night and into Monday night. I would like to… thank you [Brandi Rhodes], [WWE]the city of los angeles, matt rolf, [trainer Brad Kolowich Jr], [seamstress Sandra Gray], [nutrionist Jeff Cervero]HHH, The McMahon Family, Bruce, Conrad, Kevin Dunn, Ryan W Ryan C Mustache Chad Brian James Ed K, John Cone, John Cena and [Make-A-Wish] for allowing me the honor of inducting 15 wishes into the champions’ circle and many more names I may have forgotten… also Nick Khan for looking after my family during the celebrations. Finally, the nearly 200,000 fans who attended the weekend in total…unwavering and motivating. I want to be your champion. This Monday, I’m hoping to talk about my future in WWE and what might be in store for me next.
