The young forward broke the ice in the second period with a quick shot that Eric Comrie couldn’t stop. The Albertan, who had been dealing with a lower-body injury since late October, returned to the game but didn’t look great, allowing three goals on 18 shots.
Mason Appleton and Nikolaj Ehlers also played for the Jets. Nino Niederreiter and Vladislav Namestnikov each had two assists.
The Sabers welcomed Alex Tuch back into the team after an absence of around ten days. JJ Peterka and he deceived the alertness of Connor Hellebuyck.
