Philadelphia Flyers general manager Daniel Brière wonders what’s going on with the investigation into the 2018 edition of Team Canada Junior (JCT) players who allegedly committed gang rape.
On Tuesday, the director-general announced that he had personally contacted officials to get an update and to find out when the results would be published.

“We asked questions but didn’t get any answers. They are still investigating. I have no idea what’s going on. I thought something would have been done by the end of the summer,” Brière said when asked about it during a press conference.
“We are in the same place as everyone else. We’ll wait and see what happens.”
Last August, The Athletic reported that the National Hockey League (NHL) was on the verge of taking tough action against former ECJ players involved in this heinous sexual assault following a Hockey Canada event in the summer of 2018. Furthermore, journalist Andy Strickland said during a podcast that five hockey players would soon be suspended, adding that they were “important names.” The NHL has been investigating this case since May 2022.
Among the members of the 2018 ÉCJ, two hockey players are part of the Flyers organization. They are goalkeeper Carter Hart and defender Victor Mete.
