College football schedule, 2023 games: What to watch in Week 10, TV channels, Saturday kickoff times – CBS Sports

The month of November is here, the College Football Playoff rankings are out, and the race for the conference title is increasingly coming into focus. It really is the most wonderful time of the year.

Week 10 features two massive SEC showdowns, both on CBS. No. 12 Missouri will face No. 2 Georgia in the first half of the SEC in the CBS doubleheader. A win would allow the Tigers to move level with the Bulldogs in the SEC East race, but the Bulldogs would take full control of the division if they can hold their own at home. The nightcap will include an SEC West rivalry matchup between No. 14 LSU and No. 8 Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The Tigers can jump to the top of the SEC West race if they can get their second straight win over the Crimson Tide. In the meantime, coach Nick Saban’s team can secure the division title with a win and some help.

However, the SEC isn’t the only show in town. No. 7 Texas hosts No. 23 Kansas State in a potential elimination game in the race for the Big 12 Championship Game. The Wildcats love turning games into rock fights, so this game should be a lot of fun.

What awaits you on Saturday afternoon? Here’s a handy viewer’s guide to help you navigate all the action.

Always east

No. 1 Ohio State at Rutgers – Noon on CBS, CBSSports.com, CBS Sports App (Free): The Buckeyes jumped ahead and secured the No. 1 spot in the inaugural College Football Playoff rankings, but this week they also discovered they had lost running back Miyan Williams for the season. The Scarlet Knights are a surprising 6-2 on the season and a win over the Buckeyes would be the program’s biggest win in more than a decade.

No. 23 Kansas State at No. 7 Texas – Noon on Fox, fuboTV (Try it for free): This will be the second start of his career for Longhorns quarterback Maalik Murphy, so it will be fascinating to see how he handles a Wildcat defense that ranks second in the Big 12 in sacks per game (2.38). . Both teams suffered a loss in conference play, so it’s unlikely that the loser will play in the Big 12 Championship Game with a loss unless complete chaos ensues.

No. 12 Missouri at No. 2 Georgia – 3:30 p.m. on CBS, CBSSports.com, CBS Sports App (Free): The Tigers were picked to finish sixth in the SEC East before the season, but here they are fighting for first place in the division in the first week of November. Quarterback Brady Cook has been a monster this year, but it will take a monumental effort to turn the Bulldogs around and break their 25-game winning streak.

No. 9 Oklahoma at No. 22 Oklahoma State – 3:30 p.m. on ABC, fuboTV (Try it for free): The final (for now) part of the Bedlam rivalry will take place in a turbulent atmosphere in Stillwater on Saturday afternoon. The Sooners were shocked by Kansas last week and can’t afford another loss to a Cowboys team that has only lost one conference game. If you haven’t seen Cowboys running back Ollie Gordon II, you’re missing out.

No. 5 Washington at No. 20 USC – 7:30 p.m. on ABC, fuboTV (Try it for free): The Trojans have fallen on hard times, but a win over the undefeated Huskies would get a losing season back on track. Meanwhile, the Huskies haven’t looked good over the last few games and will look to regain the momentum they had after beating Oregon in mid-October. The quarterback duel between USC’s Caleb Williams and Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. will definitely be worth your time.

No. 14 LSU at No. 8 Alabama – 7:45 on CBS, CBSSports.com, CBS Sports App (Free): This will be the last time this rivalry will have any impact on the SEC West as the league is eliminating divisions next season. Like so many of his predecessors, everything is at stake. It will be strength against strength when the Tigers’ offense goes up against the Crimson Tide’s defense, and weakness against weakness when the Tide have the ball. The winner of this competition will take control of the division, so buckle up.
