The USbacked Colombian right seeks to split and cripple the “Historical Pact,” thus preventing its continuity in the future

Within the analytical spectrum of the left and also the critical theory about the current situation in which Colombia finds itself, explained by the “media soap opera” SarabiaBenedetti, which is directly related to the executive branch of Colombia and its President Petro, there will be two versions outlined, which, by reflecting the movement of reality, overlap or intertwine: one, selfcriticism, emphasizes the analysis of the mistakes made by President Petro in the selection of his closest collaborators. Furthermore, by separating the concept of government from the concept of the state, an attempt is made to introduce into the analysis the role of the diverse political front called the Historic Pact that led Petro to the presidency, while also considering the diverse social, peasant, ethnic and popular movement aspects.
Among them, I would like to highlight, among many, the classicist analytical contribution of Fernando Dorado, as well as the important reflection of the sociologist and journalist Sara Tufano.

The timing of this scandal, which touches on central issues of Petro’s government program, is so opportune that it can hardly be assumed that it was accidental. It’s also worth asking what a character like Benedetti, who is structurally rightwing and capable of taking center stage but for his own benefit, was doing in Petro’s government. Can you govern from the left with rightwing politicians in key positions?

This is not just any conflict in any country. The deep magma that fueled the Colombian War is intact to this day, possibly closer to a volcanic eruption. The important and liberating agreement between the Colombian state and the ELN on June 9, hailed by all serious world public opinion, was arrogantly labeled “chimbo” (a derogatory word of sexual origin used in Colombian slang to denote fraud, fraud, etc.). designated and despotic political boss of the rancid Colombian transnational oligarchy Vargas Lleras.

At the same time, the process of organizing the “Military Party” based on retired military personnel and reservists (Pinzón Bueno?) in the different regions of the country goes on uninterrupted, with the increasing conspiratorial activities of the hairy right, uribismo, santismo, the lerismo, the right Social Democracy (Claudia López and Fajardo) and others unite their ranks every day to continue their intrigues, conspiracies and confabulations with which they want to overthrow Petro, but above all they want to split and paralyze the “Historical Pact” and thus its continuation in the prevent future. It is the dark, destabilizing magma of a possible major military operation, as suggested by the aforementioned journalist Aharonian.
