The candidates of the left-wing alliance Historical Pact have repeatedly denounced having received several threats during this election process.
As Petro wrapped up his campaign this Saturday in the city of Barranquilla, he called for the other presidential candidates to meet this Monday to defend democracy against attempts aimed at blocking the elections on Sunday 29th.
“Here, in this public square, in this crowded street, I call on all the political campaigns that are currently competing, Sergio Fajardo’s campaign, Rodolfo Hernández’s campaign, the Historic Pact campaign, to be on alert. “, he said.

If no candidate for the presidency of Colombia for 2022-2026 receives 50 percent plus one of the votes on election day, a second ballot will be held on June 19 between the two candidates with the most votes.
