Indianapolis Colts tight end Andrew Ogletree was arrested Friday on domestic violence charges. According to state records, he was charged with “domestic assault causing moderate bodily harm” and “domestic assault in the presence of a child under 16 years of age who knew the child was present and may be able to see/hear.” Both charges are felonies.
Ogletree, who was at practice Friday, was booked into the Hendricks County Jail in Danville, Indiana, and given no bond.
“We are aware of the troubling allegations surrounding Drew Ogletree,” the Colts said in a statement Friday. “The team takes these matters seriously. We have notified the NFL and are in the process of gathering additional information. We will have no further comment at this time.”
Ogletree's agent, Brian Hamilton, told The Athletic he had no comment on Ogletree's arrest “at this time.”
The Colts drafted Ogletree in the sixth round last year. He tore his ACL during training camp in 2022 and missed his entire rookie season. The 25-year-old Ogletree made his NFL debut this season and appeared in 12 games.
In his 12 games, Ogletree has recorded nine receptions for 147 yards and two touchdowns.
