Comedian Mark Normand was escorted off stage after an unidentified man interrupted his performance and was allegedly verbally abused by security guards in a chaotic scene.
Normand was performing a show with Good Eggs Comedy at the New York Comedy Club in the East Village on Wednesday night when the incident occurred.
Members of the audience filmed the strange interaction and posted it on social media.
The performance was interrupted when a man wearing a yellow cap, red coat, dark shirt and trousers entered the stage.
“Oh hey, how are you, what kind of migrant do we have here,” Normand said. “Oh my God, are you okay?” I just want to make sure everyone here is okay. What's up?'

Security escorted the unknown man off the stage and Normand said: “Oh God, someone got insulted, oh boy.”
Then Normand was escorted off stage and the show ended abruptly
Two people who appeared to be security approached and grabbed the man from the stage. Then a woman walked across the stage behind the man and followed them out.
“I really froze there, I went Mitch McConnell,” Normand said as the man was led out.
“Anything can happen on a comedy show, this was kind of a weird swingers sex party thing,” he added. “Oh God, someone got insulted, oh boy.”
The audience recording the interaction could be heard saying: “What the fuck.”
Then a woman who apparently works for the comedy club walked on stage and said, “Guys, everything is fine, we just had a short break.”
She appeared confused and first asked the audience to remain seated, then to stand up and get out.
A producer took the microphone and told them to leave and that Mark would not be coming back on stage.
Another person can then be heard asking for photos and videos of the event.
