UPDATE | A new strike sequence could begin as early as December 8th
The exit of Common Front officials following the strike by around 420,000 public sector workers that paralyzed the network for four days is eagerly awaited on Tuesday, when they should take stock of the pressure tactics to come.

Spokespeople for the three union centers and the Alliance of Professional and Technical Personnel in Health and Social Services (APTS) are due to speak in Montreal at 11 a.m. as the standoff with Quebec continues.
The press conference will be moderated by Robert Comeau, president of the APTS, François Enault, first vice-president of the CSN, Éric Gingras, president of the CSQ, and Mélanie Gougeon, coordinator of negotiations for the public and semi-public sector of the unions affiliated to the FTQ.
Therefore, the unions are still threatening another strike if the Legault government does not meet their demands, which they say would improve working conditions in the civil service.
The negotiations, which failed mainly over the issue of wages and working conditions, led to the appointment of an arbitrator to try to smooth the way for the two conflicting parties.
Common Front unions complain of a pay gap of 11.9%, while the average salary of their members, 78% of whom are women, is $43,916, while total compensation is down 3.9%.
