The Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (Conaie) called on the government of Daniel Noboa to clarify issues related to the agreements with the United States (USA).

In a statement, the company noted that these matters are the concern of the people due to the northern nation's interference in internal affairs.
“As peoples and nationalities, we call on President Noboa and his government to be transparent about the signed agreements and the extent of US interference in the decisions of the Ecuadorian state,” Conaie said in a statement.

Conaie recalled the history of US military interventions in the region and how they have led to more crises in the countries.
The company added that this type of process only benefits major arms and raw materials trading centers.
In this sense, Conaie recalled that on January 19, the commander of the US Southern Command (Southcom), Laura Richardson, assured that Washington was committed to maintaining its presence in the region.
