TVs aired “Soul” without paying Disney for the rights.
Conatel, together with the main subscription television companies in Venezuela, launched a campaign to remind viewers of the problems of consuming pirated audiovisual products.

“We know that it is delicious to enjoy series and films for little money, but do you know the risks of piracy?” comments a video that Conatel broadcast during commercial breaks on television channels such as Venevisión and Televen. “Low quality of what you see, theft of banking information, personal information and more,” the campaign spokesperson noted.
“Why settle for a bad experience when you can confidently have the best?” he asked shortly afterwards.
“Don’t endanger your fun and certainly not your safety. What is illegal is a business for the pirate, not for you,” he said.
Although Conatel's campaign is fair and necessary, doubts remain as to whether television channels affiliated with Chavismo, such as Ávila TV and Tves, led by Winston Vallenilla, will be investigated and sanctioned.
For years, especially during the pandemic, both channels broadcast series and films without paying the owners for copyright and distribution rights.
An example of this was the reproduction of films such as “Star Wars Episode IX: Rise of Skywalker” and “Soul” from Disney or series such as “La Casa de Papel” from Netflix.
