Plankton is now a planetary “problem” and not just the subject of scientific studies. Even if it is not visible to the naked eye, plankton is still an essential element in the balance of our planet. When the plankton disappears, so does humanity. Their ignorance of the general public is a factor in their fragility. Just as much would have to be mobilized for it as for the survival of the polar bear.
