University of Sports in trouble again. This Tuesday, July 18th, the Conmebol imposed a new fine on the top team for a series of violations of the continental tournament’s disciplinary code. These violations would have occurred throughout the “U”’s participation in the entire Copa Sudamericana competition.
According to the document, the economic sanction amounts to $70,000 and the payment will be made automatically from the amount Universitario receives for television or sponsorship rights.

What is the first sanction imposed about?
According to the official letter, Conmebol fined the “U” $15,000 for violating Sections c, f, j and p of Article 11 Item 2 of its Disciplinary Code. These violations are mainly based on indiscipline, which somehow affects the image of the tournament.
