The Ministère des Transports (MTQ) continues roadworks on Route 116 between Rue Demers in Princeville and Rue Saint-Calixte in Plessisville.
Paving work is taking place through July 4 between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. (Monday through Sunday) resulting in the closure of Route 116 between Route 165 (rue Demers) in Princeville and Rue Saint-Calixte in Plessisville.
The road is therefore closed between 9pm and 6am, forcing motorists to take a detour via Route 263 Sud, 10e Rang Est, 9e Rang Ouest and Avenue Forand.
For their part, truck drivers will be rerouted via Route 165, Route 162, Highway 20 East, exit 253 (Route 265, Villeroy, Deschaillons-sur-Saint-Laurent, Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes) and Route 265.
Then, from Tuesday, July 4 through Friday, July 21, between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., the work will include the closure of three out of four lanes for more than a kilometer each between Route 165 (rue Demers) in Princeville and the rue Saint-Calixte in Plessisville. Traffic is diverted with the help of flags. In the work sector, too, the speed is reduced to 70 km/h.
This work could be postponed due to weather conditions or operational restrictions. To learn about current obstacles, simply consult Québec 511.
