Popular comedian Andy Vázquez was the target of controversy this weekend after influencer Alain Rodríguez, known as the Cuban Paparazzi, spoke on his show about the young man the artist has been helping.

Andy posted a video on his Facebook page this Sunday to explain everything that happened to his followers.

First and foremost, he said, the money they sent can be returned to any of the donors if they wish.

Andy clarified that he considered himself an honest person and was only trying to help a person in need.

Hundreds of the artist’s supporters have come to his defense.

“I’m sending you a huge hug. I know what a good person you are. You don’t have to explain anything. You have an enormous heart and all of Cuba knows it. My respect, affection and admiration. Here you have me whatever you need,” wrote journalist Mario Pentón.

“I’m sorry that for a good deed you have to go through such a moment. But it is part of it.

It is important that you turn the page. That doesn’t change anyone. God knows you’ve always acted in good faith,” influencer Chucho del Chucho told him.

His colleague, the humorist Cuqui la Mora, also defended Vázquez.

The artist questioned the attitude of paparazzi, telling him that the only one who benefited from this type of content was the Cuban dictatorship.

Andy asked last week Help for Javier Cruz Milana young Cuban who had spent several nights at Miami International Airport.

He said he lost his job and has no family or friends in Miami.

Dozens of the artist’s supporters came together to help Cruz Milán. Some made him job offers, offered him places to sleep, others sent him money so he could put down a deposit and start over.

The case made headlines in independent media and local Miami television.
