THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — The Los Angeles Rams signed wide receiver Cooper Kupp to a three-year, $80 million contract extension, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The contract is guaranteed for $75 million and is valued at $110 million over the five-year deal, sources said. It’s the highest guaranteed amount of money ever awarded to an NFL wide receiver.

Last season, Kupp led the league in 145 catches for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns in the regular season. He also caught two touchdowns in Super Bowl LVI and was named the game’s MVP. He became the fourth player since the 1970 merger to lead the league in receptions, yards and touchdowns
After the Rams’ first minicamp practice Tuesday, Kupp said he wasn’t looking for a contract that would reset the wide receiver market.
“I’m not trying to compare myself,” said Kupp. “I’m trying not to say, ‘OK, where was Tyreek? All these guys making deals, where were all these guys? And I have to be higher than them in certain places.’”
Kupp also said on Tuesday he wanted the contract “to be something we can work on together”.

“Something that’s great for the team, something that’s also great for me and my family,” Kupp said. “This place exists and it’s just getting there.”
On Monday, the Rams revised defensive tackle Aaron Donald’s contract to make him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL. Los Angeles also renewed quarterback Matthew Stafford this offseason and signed linebacker Bobby Wagner and wide receiver Allen Robinson.
Since the 1970 merger, Kupp has been one of eight players with 5,500 yards and 40 touchdowns in his first five career seasons. The others are Mike Evans, AJ Green, Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Randy Moss, Marvin Harrison and Jerry Rice.
