Artists of different rhythms warmed up the audience this Sunday (31) before New Year's Eve on Copacabana Beach, in the southern zone of Rio de Janeiro. Artists who had already performed at 10:10 p.m. included Ludmilla, Glória Groove, Luísa Souza, Jorge Aragão and Teresa Cristina.
Luísa Sonza sang the hit “Chico” without mentioning her exboyfriend’s name, as she had done in her last shows.

Shortly before the shows began, the audience gathered in large numbers on the two stages set up at the venue the performances were scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
In front of the Copacabana Palace, the party started with a performance by DJ Tamy on the stage in front of the Copacabana Palace, while DJ Tati da Vila will open the party on the stage in the Republic of Peru.

At around 7:20 p.m. a large crowd was already gathering in front of the hotel to watch Luísa Sonza's show. The same thing happened on the other stage, at Teresa Cristina's show. At 10:10 p.m. sharp, Ludmilla took the stage at the Copacabana Palace with the hit “É Hoje”.
“It's definitely very memorable, it's something special in my life,” commented Ludmilla about the performance on the Copacabana stage

The Copacabana fireworks will be spread across 10 ferries scattered along the coast. The party will also include an orchestra and a drone show. Everything is scheduled to last 12 minutes.

The audience gathers on the stages of Copacabana New Year's Eve
Copacabana is the main “stage” of public New Year's Eve partying in Rio, but there will be shows in ten other districts of the city. It will be the debut of Bangu and Praça Mauá as addresses for the celebration.
