The Chicago Blackhawks never wanted to reveal the details of Corey Perry's contract termination in November, but now John Scott has weighed in.
The former Montreal Canadiens player used his podcast Dropping The Gloves to share explosive information about why the Blackhawks terminated Perry's contract. However, Scott later withdrew X.

“One evening in Columbus, [Corey Perry] made a mistake, he drank too much and made advances on a[e] Employees[e] from NBC,” said Scott, who now works as a Hawks game analyst for NBC Chicago.

Following this statement, Scott apologized profusely.
“I reported misleading and false information about former Blackhawks forward Corey Perry,” the former fighter admitted. It was a spontaneous remark that was completely unfounded. It was a poor choice of words, I will try to be more careful in the future.”

As a reminder, the 2011 Hart Trophy winner confided after his divorce from the Illinois team that he had worked with mental health and substance abuse experts to discuss his “alcohol problems.”
On Monday, Perry signed a contract with the Edmonton Oilers for the remainder of the season. The 38-year-old has four goals and five assists for nine points in 16 games with Chicago this season.
