In 2018, Sacha revealed how she collapsed during training due to “unbearable” pain – but didn’t know she was secretly battling endometriosis.

She had suffered from heavy and painful periods for years but thought they were normal symptoms and it was only when she collapsed that she was diagnosed with the disease.

Sacha, who is originally from Salford, told ITV’s Lorraine how she crawled across the hotel room floor to get to bed and was worried no one would find her until it was too late as she believed she might die for unknown reasons.

Sacha, who played Sian in Corrie, revealed her battle with the disease in an emotional Instagram post in which she was seen lying in her hospital bed following surgery on her ovaries.

In addition to her painful periods, Sacha experienced a “dull ache” in her lower abdomen throughout the month and pain during sex.

But it wasn’t until she collapsed in her Los Angeles hotel room after training that she knew something was wrong.

Sacha explained: “I started doing burpees, which is the most horrible move ever, and when I got to the third one I just fell to the floor. “I’ve never done that in my life so I didn’t know what was happening.

“I immediately started sweating and boiling. I just remember an army crawling from one side of the hotel room to the bathroom because the floor was tiled and I knew it would be cool. The pain was so bad I couldn’t even keep still, so I crawled onto the bed.

“It felt like forever, but I imagine it was only a few minutes.” I remember thinking, “Nobody knows I’m here and I don’t know what this is,” and eventually it went away.”

Sacha then visited her doctor who sent her for scans which led to her diagnosis and doctors later told her that the pain after the burpees she was doing was due to a cyst on her ovary that was twisting.

Twitter users praised Sacha’s interview, with many thanking her for raising awareness about the disease.

One tweeted: “Watch Sacha Parkison talk about endometriosis in Lorraien!! It’s a terrible pain!! Here’s a hug from one sufferer to another!!’
