Will he get the answer he wants?

In a recent interview with Web and other outlets about the storyline, actor Peter Ash opened up about how he felt when he was given the intense storyline, knowing it would seal his fate in the ITV soap opera.

He said, “I was called into the producer’s office late last year.” It came as a shock. I guess it’s always a bit scary when you’re called into the producer’s office!

“Iain MacLeod said they had a big storyline for me and it was supposed to be a great thing, but unfortunately it would mean an eventual exit.”

“I obviously had mixed feelings. I’ll be sad to leave the show – it’s been a great job and I’ve met amazing people.

“But I’m also very fortunate to be involved in such a powerful act that will hopefully make MND more widely known. It will also be quite a step forward from Paul’s illness.”

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
