Coronation Street fans are in for an incredibly dramatic season judging by the latest pictures from the set.
The soap’s star Todd Boyce, 61, who plays murderer Stephen Reid, was spotted filming scenes for the hit show on Wednesday.
Stephen is mugged by thugs while delivering pizza before fleeing the scene and having a serious accident.

Stephen looked angry as the thugs took his pizza box early in the scene.
The villain fended off the goons, grabbed his helmet and drove away before having to wait for an ambulance after falling off his bike.
Nearby was Stephen’s girlfriend Elaine, played by Paula Wilcox, 72, who almost discovered him as a delivery driver.

The thugs undoubtedly targeted the wrong man as Stephen killed Leo Thompkins following their feud. Leo is played by Joe Frost.
On last week’s show, viewers were shocked to see Leo fall to his death after a feud between him and Stephen ended in tragedy.
When a scuffle broke out at the factory gate, Leo suffered a severe blow to the head and was thrown over the railing, where he fell into a commercial trash can.

Actor Todd recently told Metro in a chat that he thinks Stephen will be Corrie’s next big villain.
He said: “I think he’s capable of just killing more people. It’s like gambling, the further in he is, the further he will go.
“An actor whose role killed someone said, ‘Once you’ve done one, you kind of get a taste for it,'” Todd joked.
