Speaking to The Sun, she explained: “We all found that we instantly became this close-knit group of friends. We all join together. We showed newcomer James Craven (who plays Aaron Sandford) the best places to go out in Manchester. We took him to all the clubs!’

Elle also revealed that the cast has their own saying for getting drunk, naming it “Getting Barlowed” after the famous Cobbles family.

Elle’s character has just moved into a shared apartment with her boyfriend Jacob Hay and her best buddies Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) and Aaron, and the group is getting bigger storylines now that they’re older.

She described: “We all said it’s like we’re on Friends! We call it our little friends spin-off. I think it’s so cool that I’ve been here for so long. Even if people don’t see it when I say, “I’m Ken’s granddaughter,” they always know who he is. The Barlows are Coronation Street.”

When asked who was the wildest of a night out, she explained that it was Jack James Ryan, 26, who plays Jacob Hay.

Elle said: “He’s so awesome. I don’t know how he does it. He can literally stay up until 8am. He’s just superhuman.”

Her revelations come after Jack said this year has given him his “biggest lows” as he described his mental health struggles in a social media post.

The actor, who openly battled his testicular cancer when he was 19, praised his “incredible” family and friends for “putting him through the emotional post.”

Jack used his Instagram Stories to reflect on the ups and downs of the past 12 months.

He also gushed about his constant return to cobblestones, writing, “I am always amazed by the love and support you guys have shown for the character and for me.

“It was great to see how people are behind Jacob’s journey”

The testicular cancer survivor admitted sharing his journey on Lorraine was “one of the proudest moments” of his life and considered becoming an ambassador for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
