Coronation Street’s Kate Spencer is marrying her pro boxer fiancé Paul Walker a year after he romantically proposed
Former Coronation Street star Kate Spencer married her fiancé Paul Walker on Saturday, a year after they got engaged.
The 30-year-old actress announced on Instagram on Friday that she would be spending her “last night as Spencer,” before sharing a snap of a bright blue sky the next day as she gloated over the weather ahead of her wedding.
She wrote: “I woke up to this beauty on my wedding day. The view from my bedroom window never gets old.”

Professional boxer Paul asked Kate to marry him when they had dinner at a restaurant in June last year.
She told fans at the time that she was “all in tears” after he fell to one knee at a steak restaurant.
Kate uploaded a series of messages to her social media pages at the time, writing: “Three years ago he asked me about my perfect day.

“I said, ‘Get up early, work out in the morning, some time to chill alone, good food, good coffee and something to do with theatre/acting.
“Yesterday we went to the gym, drank good coffee, learned a few lines for Corrie, went for a little walk, went to a pub, played backgammon, made tiramisu and ate steak.
‘It was perfect. And then this happened.’

Eventually, Kate announced the engagement and uploaded a glowing selfie of herself holding up a ring on her finger while hugging Paul tightly.
She also shared a series of photos on her Instagram page that documented the day Paul proposed to her.
Among the pictures was one of the two lovingly hugging in a picturesque garden, with Kate’s engagement ring on display.

Kate added: “After the tomahawk steak, before the tiramisu and with a coffee in hand, he turned me into an absolute bubbling mess.

Kate played Grace Vickers but left the soap last December.
