Coronavirus: Cuba confirms three new cases of COVID 19, all with symptoms

According to the part of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) published today, Cuba identified three new cases of COVID-19 this Tuesday.

Two of those infected were contacts of confirmed cases, and in one the origin of the infection is unknown. His residence was in the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud.

Artemisa and Matanzas also reported cases. The laboratories processed 1,538 samples. Minsap notified six medical discharges.

A total of 29 people were hospitalized for coronavirus as of midnight Tuesday. 24 were only suspected of being infected with SARS-CoV-2, five were confirmed active cases.

By age, one of the patients was under 20 years old and two were over 60 years old.

The Minsap has reported no bedridden patients in intensive care units that day while deaths from the pandemic remain at 8,530, for which the case fatality rate on the island is 0.77%.

To combat this disease, the development of five national formulas was crucial: Soberana 01, Soberana 02, Soberana Plus, Abdala and Mambisa.

Some of these drugs have also been approved by the health authorities of Vietnam, Iran, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Mexico, among others.
