Reporter Leonardo Monteiro, GloboNews correspondent in Lisbon, Portugal, called his station’s news channel “Globo trash” in a live appearance last Sunday (15).

After the gaffe, the journalist corrected himself, but his mistake was captured and shared on social media.

Leonardo Monteiro’s mistake happened during Jornal GloboNews. At the time, he spoke about the diplomatic discussion between governments calling for a humanitarian corridor in the Gaza Strip amid the war between Israel and Hamas.

“Good morning to everyone who follows us here at Globo Lixo, at GloboNews,” said Leonardo Monteiro.

Of course, after correcting himself, Monteiro continued with the report.
