Counter Strike 2, official for this summer – Les Numériques

In the world of video games, Counter Strike is hard to miss. Valve’s hit, which has been a benchmark in competitive FPS for over 22 years, will officially have a sequel, soberly named Counter Strike 2 and based on CS:GO. It should be out on PC this summer – a beta is already available for the lucky few – and will be available without a penny. At the moment we don’t know much more, but some important information has leaked, like the resumption of the maps present in CS, improved of course, or the arrival of smoke grenades.

Obviously, the progress will be most noticeable at the technical level, even if the versions and mods have allowed the graphics of the game to evolve to meet the different standards depending on the times. In addition to the improved graphics, Valve promises improved responsiveness thanks to “subticks” for even faster fights; a detail that is very important when you know that victory or defeat can be decided down to the smallest detail.

The most impatient can visit the game’s official website to find out more. Our CS:GO specialists will elaborate on the various announcements.
