What should be a joy in Aline’s (Barbara Reis) life becomes a nightmare in Terra e Paixão. The producer learns that she is pregnant with Caio (Cauã Reymond), but will hide the child from her exfiancé for fear of Antônio’s (Tony Ramos) reaction. In the next chapters of Globo’s nine o’clock soap opera, the young lady will experience severe dizziness and even faint, leaving Caio distraught.
Since she is at war to prove that Irene (Gloria Pires) and Antônio staged a coup to steal her land, Aline will think that it is better for the farmer’s son not to know that he is father becomes. She will be afraid that her exfatherinlaw will try to do something against her illegitimate grandson.
Aline becomes nauseous while driving a tractor and faints while the vehicle is moving. Caio will help her again and try to call a doctor, but she refuses to seek professional help. The heroine of the plot will say that she did not eat properly in the morning and was in the sun all day.
Then she feels dizzy again when she has a snack with Lucinda (Débora Falabella), who will take her to a health center. There she finds out that she is pregnant with the handsome man. The producer will be shocked to say that she has always taken precautions, and the doctor will note that not every contraceptive method is 100% effective.
Aline is stunned by the news and asks her friend to keep the news a secret. “I am very confused. And I still don’t want Caio to know about this son. And certainly not for his father to find out. I’m afraid he’ll try to cause harm if he finds out he’s going to have a grandson, fathered by the woman he hates. Because please don’t tell him anything, at least for now, okay?” she will ask and run away from her exfiancé even more.
Written by Walcyr Carrasco and Thelma Guedes, Terra e Paixão is set in the fictional town of Nova Primavera in Mato Grosso do Sul. The plot will be broadcast until January next year, when it will be replaced by the remake of Renascer (1993).
