Country star apologizes to wife for humiliation with my affair

Country star apologizes to wife for ‘humiliation with my affair’ – PennLive

Country star Jimmie Allen apologized on Friday his wife because of an affair with his former manager.

His former manager is suing Allen for sexual harassment and assault.

So for the 37-year-old Delaware native, this seems like an all-around horrific situation.

Allen announced in April that he and his wife, 27-year-old Alexis Gale, are preparing for a divorce. They are reportedly expecting their third child.

Allen’s former manager, who is not named, accuses him of sexually harassing and assaulting her. Allen reportedly claims they had a consensual sexual relationship.

The statement from Friday on Instagram was lengthy.

“I want to publicly apologize to my wife Alexis for humiliating her with my affair,” he said. “I’m embarrassed that my choices have shamed her. She didn’t deserve that at all. I also want to apologize to my children for not having a good example of a husband and a father.”

Allen said he’s “working to be a better person that my kids can be proud of.”

“This business does so much for you,” he wrote. “It’s full of temptations that can paralyze you and ruin everything you’ve built. I am ashamed that I wasn’t strong enough to withstand them. I will no longer be a victim of my weakness.

“I urge everyone to seek help if they need it,” he added. “Don’t be afraid of your weakness, surround yourself with people who will help you.”

Allen is perhaps best known for his songs “Best Shot” and “Make Me Want To,” both of which reached number one on the Billboard Country Airplay charts.
